Type 4 Engine Reference

One the most difficult parts of working on Type 4s is knowing what year/model engine you have, knowing the model of the cylinder heads, etc. That's where this page comes in.

Right now I have put together three pages for your reference. As the site grows, we'll be working on more stuff, like which parts are interchangable with what. Read the respective technical article for more information about information of your particular area of interest. For example, if you want to know the difference between the 914 and the Type 2 cases, go to the technical article on crankcases. The information in the articles will generally be more in-depth and thorough.
