Tom Slider
Our webmaster. Tom's currently working on "too many projects". He's building a Cal-Look '69 Beetle with plans for big engines. At this moment he's building a street 2056cc for it. When the Bug is ready to hit the streets, he's going to focus his attention to building a Type 4 equipped Type 3 Karmann Ghia. The plans aren't definite yet, but it will definitely use the stock pancake cooling to keep the rear trunk.

Rolf Christensen
Rolf has been a great source of information of the Type 4 scene in Denmark, and Europe in general. Rolf's has had a lot of experience building Type 4 engines and even campaigned a Type 4 powered drag Bug. His current project is a Porsche Continental Orange '69 Beetle with 16" Porsche Fuchs wheels and is working on a hot Type 4 for it.
Chris Slider
Chris has long been an advocate of the Type 4 engine. He felt that the engine had the potential of being a lean, mean street powerhouse. His current toy is a 1972 Porsche 914 with a stock 1.7. Future plans call for a larger Type 4 with aftermarket electronic fuel injection..

If you have a Type 4 powered VW or have information that you'd like to share with us, email the webmaster.
